On September 6th,The opening ceremonyof“International Training Workshop on Laser Intelligent Manufacturing Technology and Equipment”,sponsored by the International Cooperation Department of the Ministry of Science and Technology and organized byQingdao University of Technology (QUT)was successfullyheld online andofflinesimultaneously.
Mr.LIUHua,senior officerfromthe International Cooperation Department of the Ministry of Science and Technology, Prof.JINZuquan, vice president ofQUT,Mr.ZHOUAimin,senior officer fromQingdao Science and Technology Bureau,andleaders of the Science and Technology Department, Office of International Affairs,andSchool of Mechanical and Automotive Engineeringattended theceremony.Twenty-one traineesfrom eight countriessuch asMalaysia, Iraq, India, Nigeria, Slovakiaparticipatedonline.
Mr.LIUHua,extended a warm welcome to all the foreigntrainees,pointed out thatthe aim ofthistrainingworkshopwasto strengthen the exchanges and cooperationbetween China anddeveloping countries in laser intelligent manufacturing technology and equipment.andhoped thatQUTwould provide a high level trainingcoursefor traineeswith theiradvancedskills and experience toimprove the research,development and application of laser intelligent manufacturing technology and equipment.
Vice PresidentJINZuquan expressed his gratitude to the Ministry of Science and Technology and Qingdao Science and Technology Bureau for their support to theworkshopand welcome to theexpertsand trainees. He said that the holding of technology training courseswas a part ofProject 111 - the plan initiated by the Ministry of Education of PRC to establish innovation centers for the purposes of technology transferandwill beof great significance to promote the discipline development and the construction of high-level universities.QUTwillconstantly strengthenwin-win cooperation between developing countries in high-end laser intelligent manufacturing technology and industries.
ProfessorSUNShufeng, a Taishan scholar and head of the trainingworkshop, introduced thetrainingworkshopcomprehensively. ProfessorDongsikKIM, from Pohang University of Science and Technology, delivered a speech as therepresentative of trainingfaculty. Finally, ProfessorPeterMONKA from Slovakia and ProfessorUmma ABDULLAHfrom Nigeriagavespeechesasrepresentativesof the trainees.
The international trainingworkshopwas fromSeptember 6thtoSeptember25thandinvitedscholars and technical experts in related fields of Utsunomiya University, Pohang University of Science and Technology, University of Malaya, Shandong University, Qingdao University of Technology, Laser Institute, Shandong Academy of Sciences and Shandong Energy Reloading Group National Remanufacturing Engineering Center to give lectures on the laser processing principle, development and application of laser intelligent manufacturing technology and laser parallel processing technology. The whole trainingwould becarried out online in English.
