First, Training Objectives:Good training for senior professionals with good theoretical knowledge of mathematics, economics and management science and other theoretical knowledge, to master the basic theory and statistical methods, proficiency in the use of computers for data processing and data analysis. So that they can engage in surveys, information management, information processing and statistical analysis in enterprises, government departments and social organizations.
Graduates should acquire the following knowledge and abilities
1, To be with a more solid mathematical basis, subject to more stringent scientific thinking training;
2, To master the basic theory, basic knowledge and basic methods of statistics, and also computer skills; hasve basic capabilities to collected data, design questionnaires and process data;
3, To understand the basics knowledge of natural sciences, social sciences area, to have the theoretical foundation of applied statistics which related with quality management and finance, and have the basic skills to solve practical problems in the field;
4, To understand the dynamics and prospects of the development of statistical theory and methods;
5, To be focus on training operation ability and innovation ability, can skillfully use a variety of statistical software packages, with strong computer skills and capabilities to use statistical information in the comprehensive analysis and management ;
6, To master the basic method of data query, document retrieval and use modern means to obtain information delivery, has a strong capabilities in practical work.
Second, the length of study and graduation and degree-granting basic requirements:
Four-year, Bachelor of Science, graduating minimum credits required 170 credits.
