Qingdao University of Technology (QUT) is located in the beautiful costal city Qingdao. It was established in 1953 and formerly known as Qingdao Institute of Architecture and Engineering. It operates in 3 campuses, including Sifang campus, Huangdao campus and Linyi campus. QUT covers an area of 1,463,000 square meters with the construction area of 649,800 square meters.

The university has undertaken “973 program”, Hi-Tech Research and Development Program (863 Program), National Key Technology R&D Program, National Natural Science Foundation Programs, and participates in the researches about the key technology of Three Gorges Project, Divert Water from the South to the North Project, plateau trains, Cross-Harbour Tunnel of Jiaozhou Bay, Victory Oilfield, energy saving equipment of Jinan Steel Group and Laiwu Steel Group, Qingdao Bay Bridge, etc.
