Its educational origin traces back to 1949; it evolved from a technical faculty into Veszprém University of Chemical Engineering, and formally adopted the current name University of Pannonia in 2006 after institutional integration of agricultural, engineering and teacher-training branches.
Composed of five core faculties covering Business and Economics, Engineering, Information Technology, Humanities & Social Sciences, and Agriculture, the university delivers complete undergraduate, master’s and doctoral degree programmes, with 29 English-taught academic tracks and five accredited doctoral schools. It ranks among the top 5% of global higher education institutions by Times Higher Education, standing out nationwide for its per-faculty research and development output, with AACSB accreditation for its Faculty of Business and Economics.
Centered on practice-oriented, future-proof education, the university designs curricula jointly with leading industrial partners such as MOL and Continental, focusing on circular economy, green engineering, digital technology and sustainable development. It maintains long-term official cooperation with over hundreds of higher education institutions worldwide, launching student exchange, faculty mobility and dual-degree joint training programmes with numerous Chinese universities.
