Recently, Shandong Provincial Department of Science andTechnology announced the resultssupported by the Natural Science Foundation of Shandong Province in 2021. Our school was approved again by 1 Provincial Distinguished Young Scholars and 1 Excellent Young Scholars.
This year, the whole school has declared 237 items of Natural Science Foundation of Shandong Province, and received 78 project funding, with a project approval rate of 33%. The overall number of projects has increased by 8% compared with last year. Among them, there are 33 General Program and 43 The Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars. Last year, Prof. Hou Dongshuai and Prof. Guo Siyao were approved for Provincial Distinguished Young Scholars Programs and Excellent Young Scholars Programs. This year, Prof. Zhang Peng and Prof. Liu Junwei were approved for Provincial Distinguished Young Scholars Programs and Excellent Young Scholars Programs.
Natural Science Foundation Program reflects the scientific research and innovation ability and level of school and teachers, which supports the construction of the school's disciplines and the construction of high-level universities. In recent years, our school has continued to achieve gratifying results in National Natural Science Foundation and Provincial Natural Science Foundation. Provincial Distinguished Young Scholars and Excellent Young Scholars have been continuously approved, and the establishment of General Program has continued to increase. Among them, the programs of National Natural Science Foundation have doubled since last year, and the programs of Provincial Natural Science Foundation have increased of 27% from last year. This gives our school a good momentum of scientific research development during the 14th Five-Year Plan period.
