He noted that the undergraduate program in Electronic Information Engineering jointly offered by QUT and Buryat State University was officially approved this year and enrolled its first students in September. The program adopts a “4+0” localized international training model and integrates high-quality educational resources from both universities.

Miao hoped the two sides would take the visit as an opportunity to further refine implementation plans for teaching organization, faculty assignment, curriculum alignment and student management, so as to ensure the smooth operation of the first cohort. He also expressed hope that the two universities would use the program as a starting point to expand practical cooperation in faculty and student exchanges, joint research and laboratory development, and build a long-term China-Russia inter-university cooperation platform.

Vice President Nomogoeva Victoria Vladimirovna introduced the history and disciplinary strengths of Buryat State University. Located near Lake Baikal, the university is a well-known comprehensive university in Eastern Siberia, Russia. She spoke highly of the cooperation between the two universities and said Buryat State University would provide quality faculty and curriculum resources to support the implementation of the joint program. She also looked forward to deeper exchanges in teaching, academic research and related fields, and wished the first cohort every success.
