The cooperation project was approved by the Ministry of Education in 2017 (Project Approval Letter: MOE37US2A20161807N), and the enrollment began in the same year.
The cultivating program of this project is jointly formulated by University of Kansas and Qingdao University of Technology (QUT). Relying on the high-quality educational resources of the two universities, the project aims to cultivate advanced applied talents in civil engineering with international vision, strong engineering practical ability and innovation ability.
I. Enrollment situation
The project is included in the unified examination for admissions to general universities and colleges with science enrollment. The length of schooling is 4 years.
II. Main courses
Material mechanics, structural mechanics, fluid mechanics, soil mechanics, building materials, concrete structure and steel structure, housing structure, bridge structure, underground structure, road survey and design and roadbed pavement structure, construction technology and management, etc.
III. School-running mode
Students should be studying in QUT for 4 years and complete all the prescribed courses and credits and meet the prescribed graduation and degree awarding requirements to obtain the undergraduate diploma and bachelor degree certificate of QUT. Students who satisfy the admission requirements of University of Kansas can study at the University of Kansas for 2 years in the fourth year, and obtain a master’s degree from the University of Kansas after meeting the graduation requirements of University of Kansas.
