Introduction of National University of Singapore (NUS)

The National University of Singapore (NUS) is a world-renowned university, ranking 8th globally in the 2024 QS World University Rankings. It is established in 1980 by the merger of Nanyang University and the University of Singapore. The university has 16 schools and offers 60 undergraduate majors. There are also 7 overseas colleges located in major global entrepreneurship centers such as Shanghai, Beijing, Israel, India, Stockholm, Sweden, Silicon Valley, and Biotech Valley in the United States.

Program Introduction

The two universities adopt a "3+1+1" model to jointly cultivate students majoring in Environmental Engineering.

The program will select outstanding juniors majoring in Water Supply and Drainage Science and Engineering, Environmental Engineering, and Environmental Science from the School of Environmental and Municipal Engineering to study at the Suzhou Research Institute of National University of Singapore for one year. After completing all learning tasks, they will obtain a bachelor's degree and graduation certificate from QUT. If the students meet the admission requirements for the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at NUS, they can continue to pursue a Master's degree at NUS. After one year study, those who meet the requirements can obtain a Master's degree from NUS.

Admission

1. Participants: The third year students majoring in Water Supply and Drainage Science and Engineering, Environmental Engineering, and Environmental Science from the School of Environment and Municipal Engineering in QUT.

2. Academic Requirements: Average score for the first 5 semesters of undergraduate studies (generally required to be 80-85 points)+major ranking (generally required to be in the top 20-30%).

3. Language Requirements: TOEFL score of 85 or a total IELTS score of 6.0 (this score can be postponed until the deadline for applying for the new master's program at NUS), and can be replaced by a College English Test Band 4 or Band 6 score.

4. Fees: The fees for students during their time at the Suzhou Graduate School of the National University of Singapore include tuition fee of RMB 70,000 per year, accommodation fee of RMB 2,200 per year, and tuition fee of approximately RMB 6,500 per year for the fourth academic year in QUT.
