Introduction of University of Bradford (UOB)
The University of Bradford was founded in 1882 and is a comprehensive research university with a history of nearly 140 years. The university has strong academic strength in the field of science and engineering, with outstanding academic strength in civil engineering (ranking 7th in the UK), and mechanical engineering. Its cooperation with China universities is active and pragmatic, and various forms of scientific research and teaching cooperation have been carried out with well-known domestic universities such as Beijing University of Chemical Technology, China University of Petroleum, and Sichuan University. The university has two campuses and over 10000 students, of which approximately 22% are international students from over 110 countries and regions around the world.
Program Introduction
The two universities adopt a "3+1" model to jointly cultivate students majoring in Civil Engineering and Mechanical Engineering.
Students who have completed the 3 years of undergraduate courses study at QUT and meet the language and academic requirements set by UOB have the opportunity to enter UOB for about 1 year study. Students who finish all required courses at the UOB and meet the graduation requirements of both universities can obtain bachelor's degrees from both QUT and UOB.
Admission
1. Participants: Third year undergraduate students majoring in Civil Engineering and Mechanical Engineering at QUT.
2. Academic requirements: Students should pass all courses for the first 3 years at QUT.
3. Language requirements: IELTS 6 or above (with a minimum score of 5.5 for each item).
4. Preparatory Language Course: Students who have not met the language requirements for admission and have achieved an IELTS level of 5.5 (not less than 5.0 for each item) can participate in the 6-week online language course at UOB. After passing the test, they can officially enroll. For Students who enroll in September 2024, online language exam scores including LANCE/TOEFL Home Edition/ELLT can be acknowledged. UOB offer language proficiency tests and offer a certain number of free exam slots.
5. Study time in UOB: Approximately 1 year.
6. Cost: Tuition fees will be charged according to the UK's current standards, and students will also enjoy special scholarships provided by UOB for the program.
