Professor Harsha from Norwegian University of Life Sciences Visited QUT

On April 15th, Professor Harsha Ratnaweera from the Norwegian University of Life Sciences came to QUT for an exchange. Vice President ZHANG Kai met with Professor Harsha at the Jialingjiang Road Campus. ZHOU Hongyan, Director of the Office of International Affairs, LIU Changqing, Vice Dean of the Graduate School, and LI Jincheng, Vice Dean of the School of Environmental and Municipal Engineering attended the talks.

First of all, ZHANG Kai introduced the new changes and achievements of QUT in recent years, especially reviewing the scientific research cooperation and student joint training process between QUT and the Norwegian University of Life Sciences over the years.He expressed gratitude to Professor Harsha for his support and help to the cooperation between the two sides over the years, and expressed his hope that the two universities would continue to deepen cooperation in cooperative education, joint training of students, academic exchanges of teachers, and international scientific research projects, and other areas in the future.

Subsequently, Professor Harsha introduced the academic system and training program of the Norwegian University of Life Sciences, and the two sides discussed the possibility of joint training of undergraduate and graduate students in the future. He praised the rapid development of QUT, and was willing to continue to be a promoter of cooperation and exchanges between the two universities, and strive to make the cooperation between the two universities develop in an all-round and three-dimensional direction.

Professor Harsha Ratnaweera is Director of the Academic Council of the Norwegian University of Life Sciences, President of the Norwegian Water Association, and a renowned professor internationally in the field of water. From 2013 to 2016, he was employed as a visiting professor at QUT as a high-end foreign expert of the State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs of China.
