On June 2nd, a delegation of three people led by Tae-Hak Park, permanent advisor and former president of Silla University in South Korea, visited QUT. Vice President ZHANG Kai met with the guests, and ZHOU Hongyan, Director of the Office of International Affairs and Dean of the College of International Education, and relevant personnel attended the meeting.
ZHANG Kai, on behalf of the school, warmly welcomed the arrival of Tae-Hak Park and his delegation, and briefly introduced the basic situation, disciplinary characteristics, and recent progress in campus construction of the school. It is hoped that in the future, the two sides can expand cooperation in a wider range and deeper level on the basis of friendly relations in the early stage, and strive to leverage complementary advantages, promote resource sharing, and deepen cooperation for mutual benefit.
Tae-Hak Park introduced the history, educational system, and main disciplines of the Silla University. He welcomed our teachers and students to exchange and study at Silla University, further strengthening educational and cultural exchanges between the two universities, continuing the friendly relationship between the two universities, and working together to create a new chapter of development.
Silla University, founded in 1954 and located in Busan, South Korea, is a prestigious private university known for its tradition and history. QUT and the Silla University signed a memorandum of cooperation for the first time in 2009, and have exchanged long-term exchange students for many consecutive years.
