Khovd Branch School of National University of Mongolia Visited QUT

On August 10th,Batsukh Bayarjargal, President of Khovd Branch School of National University of Mongolia, and his delegation of 7 people visited QUT. President TAN Xiusen and Vice President ZHANG Kai met with guests. MIAO Jijun , Director of the Undergraduate Academic Affairs Office, ZHOU Hongyan, Director of the Office of International Affairs and Dean of the College of International Education, BI Xuejun, Dean of the School of Environmental and Municipal Engineering, ZHU Yirong, Vice Dean of the School of Architecture and Urban Planning and other related personnel attended the meeting.

TAN Xiusen stated that the delegation from the Khovd Branch School of National University of Mongolian was the first Mongolian visiting delegation received by our university, opening a new chapter in exchanges between QUT and Mongolian universities. During the meeting, ZHANG Kai introduced the basic situation of QUT and hoped to take this meeting as an opportunity to strengthen the exchanges and cooperation between the two sides in talent cultivation, teacher training, academic research, and other aspects, and make contributions to the development of the two universities. Subsequently, ZHOU Hongyan introduced the basic situation of the school's international education and relevant policies for studying in China.

Batsukh Bayarjargal introduced the development history and current situation of the Khovd Branch School of National University of Mongolia, and expressed his intention to cooperate. He hopes that the cooperation between the two sides will provide a high-quality platform for academic research and teacher-student exchanges.


Founded in 1942, National University of Mongolia is a national key comprehensive university and the highest academic institution in Mongolia. Khovd Branch School of National University of Mongolia is one of its three branches, located in Khovd City, Mongolia. The university has a complete talent training system for undergraduates, masters, and doctors, with 12 departments, 34 undergraduate majors, and 19 graduate majors. There are currently more than 110 full-time teachers.
