On December 30th, the College of International Education and the School of Humanities and Foreign Languages jointly held a New Year cultural exchange activity for international students in B408,No. 1 Teaching Building,Huangdao Campus, in which representatives of foreign teachers of the university, international students of the College of International Education, students of the School of Humanities and Foreign Languages and the College students of the Ethnic Folklore Association participated in the activity.
At the beginning of the activity, the representatives of international students and the representatives of students of the School of Humanities and Foreign Languages introduced the main traditional festivals of different countries respectively. The students introduced the major traditional festivals of their respective countries with beautiful pictures, vivid videos and emotional explanations. Everyone present was immersed in a feast of international culture.
In the following cultural interaction session, the paper-cutting cultural activity brought by the University Ethnic Folklore Association attracted the attention of all the participants. Under the guidance of the Chinese students, the international students cut a variety of patterns, from the Chinese character“spring”to various exquisite patterns,which made international students feel the beauty of art at their fingertips intertwined with scissors and paper.
This New Year cultural exchange activity for international students not only let the international students feel the charm of Chinese intangible cultural heritage and raise their attention to the fine traditional Chinese culture, but also set up a platform for exchanges between Chinese and foreign students.
